Leifwood was founded in 2022 by a team with decades of hands-on experience in hardwood trading from West Africa. We are a cross-trading company – we do not touch the wood ourselves. We connect sawmills across West Africa, South America and beyond with buyers worldwide, handling every step in between.
We work with around 50 sawmills across West Africa and ship more than 2,500 containers every year. A small, direct team handles every trade – and we are always reachable.

Depending on the species and country of origin, we can supply logs, sawn timber, semi-finished products, and veneer or decking. Not all species are available in every form, so contact us for specifics.
We source primarily from over 50 sawmills across West Africa, from Senegal to Angola. We also source from South America and other regions depending on species and availability.
We have deep knowledge of our partner sawmills, their equipment, capacity, and production standards. We work closely with them to match your specifications and inspect quality before shipment.
Yes. The 13 species listed are our most traded, but we have access to a wide network of sawmills and can often source additional species. Reach out to us with what you need and we will look into it.
